On Sunday the 21 of January Dublin Sketchers will sketch at Token Dublin in Smithfield from 2pm and meet for drinks at 4pm at the cafe at the same adress.

Token is a retro arcade and pinpall space where a colourfull fauna of retro gamers and arcade games lovers use to play on highly illustared machines. The venue is vast and set on two floors, make sure you visit both and if you fancy, go for a Packman game between two sketches !

If it’s your first time out and you can’t spot anyone at 2pm, just choose something to sketch and get stuck in. Keep your eyes open for anyone carrying a sketchbook and say hello. It's a friendly crowd who you’ll get to know over a drink from 4pm. Don't worry if you're late, most of us usually are! You need to bring your own paper and pens/pencils etc.

Take a look at Token's website if you want to know more about the place : https://tokendublin.ie/

From 4pm, we'll gather for a drink at Token's cafe on the grounf floor. A bunch of sketchers will magically appear.

This week's optional challenge is to sketch a videogame character of your choice.
Hope to see you there!

Sunday 7th of January 2018 we are going to The National Gallery of Ireland.

I hope that everyone had an enjoyable Christmas and look forward to our first sketchers meet up of 2018.

The annual exhibition of Turner’s Watercolours, will be complemented by etchings and drawings by Kerry-based master printmaker Niall Naessens.

There is a free talk with Prints and Drawings curator Anne Hodge from 3.00 - 3.45pm.

An outdoor option - for anyone who wants to brave the cold - is Merrion Square park.

We'll start from 2pm at the entrance to the Millennium Wing.

If you're new to Dublin Sketchers, you'll spot us easily as we'll be holding our sketchpads. Don't worry if you're late - just get stuck in with the drawing.

We'll meet again at 4pm in the National Gallery Coffee Shop (opposite the gift shop) where we can chat and admire each other’s work.

Hope to see you there.
