Sunday the 30th of April- National History Museum (Dead Zoo)

On Sunday the 30th of April Dublin Sketchers are going to the National History Museum (Dead Zoo). It is a good place to sketch since it seems that the weather predicts some showers that day.

The starting point is at 2pm at the main door of the National History Museum .

If it’s your first time out and you can’t spot anyone who looks like a sketcher at 2pm, just choose something to draw and get stuck in. Keep your eyes open for anyone carrying a sketchbook and say hello. New people come along almost every week so don't be shy about introducing yourself.  It's a nice friendly gathering and you'll get to know us over coffee from 4pm. Don't worry if you're late, most of us usually are! You need to bring your own paper and pens/pencils etc.

From 4pm,  we'll gather for coffee or drinks at the McGrattans Bar & Restaurant  (http://www.mcgrattans.ie/)  which is just a few minutes away from the museum. A bunch of people who look like sketchers will magically appear.

Hope to see you there!

On Sunday the 16th of April Dublin Sketchers will sketch in St Stephen's Green Park from 2pm and meet for coffee at 4pm in Stephen's Green Shopping Centre.

If the weather is fine, Stephen's Green Park has plenty to offer. If not so fine, the Food Village of Stephen's Green Shopping Centre has windows look down over the top of Grafton Street and St Stephen's Green. Remember to buy a drink or food if you are sitting there for a while!

If it’s your first time out and you can’t spot anyone who looks like a sketcher at 2pm, just choose something to draw and get stuck in. Here's a website about the location http://ststephensgreenpark.ie/

From 4pm, we'll gather for a coffee upstairs in the Food Village of Stephen's Green Shopping Centre. The windows look down over the top of Grafton Street and St Stephen's Green. A bunch of people who look like sketchers will magically appear. As it's Easter weekend, it might be quieter than usual, but hopefully more than one person turn up.

Here's another website about the place to meet for coffee http://www.stephensgreen.com/dublin-shops/the-food-village/

This week's optional challenge is to incorporate spring or re-birth into your sketch.

Hope to see you there!
