On Sunday the 21st of August we will be making our annual trip to The Ukulele Hooley by The Sea in the People’s Park in Dun Laoaghaire. This is a colourful, fun and free event just a short walk from the Dart Station and the 46A bus Stop.

The Dun Laoghaire Harbour swimming race is also taking place on Sunday nearby at the East Pier. http://leinsteropensea.ie/harbour-race/

We’re taking a little bit of a risk with the weather so the back up dry location is The Forty Foot (Weatherspoons) pub which is on the top level of the Pavillion looking over the Seafront.  https://www.jdwetherspoon.com/pubs/all-pubs/republic-of-ireland/county-dublin/the-forty-foot-dún-laoghaire

The top floor has a fantastic view of the harbour. There are also various bandstands around in the park itself on the sea front just across the road which is a great place to watch the sea birds and on the east pier.

So, the starting point is the main gate of the People’s Park (Sea end).

Don’t panic if you can’t find anyone to start with, we are not known for our punctuality.  Just choose something to draw and get stuck in but keep your eyes open for anyone carrying a sketchbook and say hello. New people come along almost every week so don't be shy about introducing yourself.  It's a nice friendly gathering and you'll get know us over coffee from 4pm. Don't worry if you're late, most of us usually are! You need to bring your own paper and pens/pencils etc.

Meet up afterwards for coffee at 4pm in the 40 Foot (Weatherspoons Pub) on the top level of the Pavillion. A bunch of people who look like sketchers will magically appear.

Hope to see you there!
