On Sunday the 29th May the Dublin Sketchers are going to Merrion Square for the Dublin City Soul Festival 
The starting point is at 2pm at the Leinster House (Government buildings) side entrance

If it’s your first time out and you can’t spot anyone who looks like a sketcher at 2pm, just choose something to draw and get stuck in. Keep your eyes open for anyone carrying a sketchbook and say hello. New people come along almost every week so don't be shy about introducing yourself.  It's a nice friendly gathering and you'll get know us over coffee from 4pm. Don't worry if you're late, most of us usually are! You need to bring your own paper and pens/pencils etc.


From 4pm, we'll gather for a coffee at the National Gallery coffee shop. A bunch of people who look like sketchers will magically appear.

This week's optional challenge is to draw or paint the festival scene and to embue it with a sense of the weather and atmosphere of teh day.

On Sunday the 22 nd May Dublin Sketchers are going to meet and draw in Toners Pub beer garden on Baggot Street.

On Sunday the 22 nd May Dublin Sketchers are going to meet and draw in Toners Pub beer garden on Baggot Street. It's due to be rainy so we'll probably need to be indoors, but feel free to go to the RHA, Stephens Green and general surrounding areas.

On Sunday the 15th May Dublin Sketchers are going to...The Harold's Cross festival

The starting point at 2pm is the main entrance into the park in Harolds Cross.

If it’s your first time out and you can’t spot anyone who looks like a sketcher at 2pm, just choose something to draw and get stuck in. Keep your eyes open for anyone carrying a sketchbook and say hello. New people come along almost every week so don't be shy about introducing yourself. 

It's a nice friendly gathering and you'll get know us over coffee from 4pm. Don't worry if you're late, most of us usually are! You need to bring your own paper and pens/pencils etc.

From 4pm, we'll get coffees from Noshington cafe booth in the park and we will just find a piece of grass nearby within the park to sit around and chat. A bunch of people who look like sketchers will magically appear with notebooks at the ready.

We spent a sunny afternoon sketching around the Botanic Gardens, and at 4pm we all gathered on the green, facing Kavanaghs Gravediggers Pub, to watch the Scooter Club in action.

On Sunday the 8th of May Dublin Sketchers are going to the Botanic Gardens in Glasnevin.

The starting point at 2pm is at the main entrance of the gardens.

If it’s your first time out and you can’t spot anyone who looks like a sketcher at 2pm, just choose something to draw and get stuck in. Keep your eyes open for anyone carrying a sketchbook and say hello. New people come along almost every week so don't be shy about introducing yourself.  It's a nice friendly gathering and you'll get know us over coffee from 4pm. Don't worry if you're late, most of us usually are! You need to bring your own paper and pens/pencils etc.


From 4pm, we'll gather for a coffee in the Grave diggers pub which you'll find through the gate that links from teh Botanics into Glasnevin Cemetery and then head left until you reach a big set of gates one of which is always open and beyond is the pub also known as Kavanaughs. A bunch of people who look like sketchers will magically appear.
