Sunday January 5th National Gallery Clare St.entrance 2pm Happy New Year 2014

Hi all, hope you've all had a good Christmas or at least a not too stressful one.
This first 2014 session will take place at the National Gallery. We will meet inside the main entrance on Clare St. at 2pm. We're really looking forward to getting going again and look forward to seeing old friends and familiar faces and hopefully a few new ones too.

We will all meet back at 4pm for coffee in the gallery coffee shop.

It's that time of year again so the Turner Watercolors are on display and well worth a look if you haven't seen them before.

This weeks optional weekly challenge or theme is to try and put "movement or some action" into your drawing, sketch or painting, you decide should you  choose to take it on.

Helpful hints :
You could observe people walking - try to see the pattern of the movements, think animation frame by frame. Why not record the movement of your own hands rotating palm to back of hand for example.
Or look out for repetitive motions around you, traffic flow, birds flying.
Thin to thick line work may help to indicate motion or swirlling lines like in a comic book.

Good luck!

National Gallery is accessible at the Clare St.entrance opposite Trinity College and Lincoln Inn
